This worksheet is designed to help customers estimate costs of LTI database preparation services. It is important to understand that this is only an estimate. Actual charges will depend on the exact processing to be performed, the number of records authorized, item fields created, barcode labels, etc. Upon request a custom estimate will be provided based on the library's special requirements. A sample quote is shown below. In calculating charges for this example certain assumptions have been made, including: 1) in cases of duplicate records, customer wishes to retain only the "latest use" record and there is no need to merge holdings or call number data from earlier record uses into the retained record; 2) item fields need to be created and smart and dumb barcode labels produced; and 3) limited review LC name and subject authority control is desired. LTI has a minimum charge of $1,000 for any database processing work, with the exception of LTI's Continuing Authority Control Services (i.e. Authority Update Processing and Authority Express). No separate fees are charged for setup, source records loaded, catalog records and LC authority records made available for FTP pick-up, or printouts of unlinked headings.
