LTI MARC Update Changes

During authority control preprocessing, bibliographic records are updated to conform to the most current MARC format coding conventions and AACR2 cataloging standards. One Format Integration change, marked with a star (*), is optional: conversion of non-analytic 740 fields to 246 fields (see section 3. Field Conversions). Unless instructed otherwise, this change will be implemented.

              non-ISBD, data from $c, $d, $e, & $f are combined into $b, and
              original $b is changed to $c. When original 305 reflects AACR2
              coding, data is retained in $a, $b, and $c. In addition, $m is 
              moved to 028 field $a, with 028 1st indicator set to 0 and 028
              2nd indicator set to 1. Further, $n is moved to 028, with 028 
              1st indicator set to 1 and 028 2nd indicator set to 1. Multiple 
              028 fields are created if a record contains both 305 $m and 305
              $n. 
582 --> 580   If 1st indicator in 582 is blank, add "Related files":
              before contents of $a. Change 1st indicator of 580 to blank.
740 --> 246*  Retag 740 with 2nd indicator of 0, 1, or 3 to 246; in 246 
              field assign 1st indicator to 3 and 2nd indicator to blank. 
              Remove initial articles based on value of 1st indicator in the 
              old field and, if necessary, capitalize first letter of 
              remaining first word.
              In accord with current LC and OCLC practice, following authority
              control: 1) brackets are added surrounding GMDs ($h) in 245,
              246, and 740 fields; and 2) GMDs ($h) in these same fields are 
              corrected to current AACR2 forms.
