First LC Authority Records containing references in non-Latin Script scheduled for release

On May 15, the Library of Congress announced its plans to begin distributing name authority records with non-Latin script cross-references in 4xx fields. The first group of these authority records is expected to be released the week of June 1.

Answers to frequently asked questions about this project are found on LC's website: http://www.loc.gov/catdir/cpso/nonlatinfaq.html

When LC releases the records, LTI will distribute them in all regular services, with the non-Latin 4xx fields intact.
